Maid of Honor
Adi, Divs, Divi, Adiva. These are all the names of my big sister I look up to. I am Adivas FIRST little sister and the one who simply put, always had to have or do the exact same things adiva did. With just five years between us, adiva is both the big sister and bestie HaShem, and our wonderful parents gave me free of charge. From having the same matching hairdo as adiva on her bat mitzvah to getting me hooked on coffee and mocha frappucinos at age 9, Adiva has shown me the ropes of life, shared with me her passions and wisdom, and even gotten me out of nearly floating away in my car in Detroit. I am also eternally grateful for being Adiva and Jake’s most frequent squatter in their home, as I have coined “chateau Adiva” as my favorite place to not only enjoy amazing grub, endless task assistance from Jake, and Adiva’s decadent banana bread, but also to be around 2 of my favorite people in the world. Mazel tov Adiva and Jake; just don’t change the locks when you get married 😂

Adiva is my big sister and basically a third parent. I cant even begin to count how many times people in public have assumed she is my mother. She is the queen of carpooling and when she is around I know we are gonna have scrumptious dinner. Most importantly, Adiva helped convince our mom to get our first dog Poppy, who is now a distinguished member of our family. Now Jake has been an unofficial member of the family for a long time. We have a running joke in our family that whenever we need something done especially if it involves physical labor or IT, who do we call, Jake! Every time he pulls up to our house it is with a smile on his face, and an eagerness to help. I love y’all and can't wait to celebrate the marriage of two awesome people.

Liat is Adiva’s cousin hailing all the way from South Africa. Adiva and Liat enjoy eating kosher nandos together and hanging with our granny. A fun fact about Liat is that she’s more excited about Adiva’s wedding than Adiva is.
Groomsman and Bridesmaid
Gilad is Adiva’s favorite and coolest brother and Penina is Adiva's sister-in-law by name only but really a sister. Gilad has known Adiva for his whole life and Penina has known Adiva for a wee bit shorter (but it feels like forever.) Talking the O's with Jake or sharing recipes with Adiva are some of their favorite activities. They can't wait to be by Adiva's side on her wedding day bringing their dancing shoes and golf clubs :)

I am convinced there are few older brothers as reliable, loving, and trustworthy as my brother Jake. The oldest of our family and unofficial “leader of the pack,” he is the first to answer any call for help, no matter the task. Because Jake is the ultimate mensch, it was hard for me to imagine someone worthy of him! But Adiva, unsurprisingly, has exceeded all expectations. It’s hard for me to remember a time when she wasn’t a part of the family. She is thankfully a staple to the Shapiro household. I remember a bit ago frantically texting Adiva for advice on a nasty cut my friend got. Adiva, in typical fashion, responded right away with detailed instructions on what to do. Between her baking skills and sound medical advice, she is someone I can always count on (and not just in a medical emergency). I am beyond excited to be there for their big day and even more excited to officially call Adiva my sister.
Groomsman
In a heartwarming tale of brotherly camaraderie, Jake and his youngest brother, Charlie, defied the constraints of age with an unbreakable bond. Despite an 8-year age gap that might have kept them worlds apart, Jake's playful spirit knows no boundaries when it comes to sharing laughter and creating cherished memories with Charlie. From every impassioned game of Madden or Call of Duty to embarking on backyard quests through several feet of snow, their relationship is a testament to the power of sibling connection. Through every shared adventure, Charlie learned that the true magic lies in the moments they craft together, where age becomes nothing more than a number in the face of their enduring friendship.

Jake and I will always share a very special bond. Jake is a best friend, teacher, and older brother all in one. For the first four years of my life, Jake was my sole playmate and older brother. When my two younger siblings were born, I will never forget my confusion because I always saw myself as only a younger brother, not an older brother. When Jake would have sleepovers, I always wanted to be included, and when Jake went to sleepaway camp, I wanted to go, too. Any time I’ve had an issue from minor car troubles to major things like my recent house fire, Jake has been there for me. I am honored to be a part of my best friend & brother’s upcoming wedding. Especially a wedding to someone as wonderful as Adiva. However, I want you both to know that even with your upcoming marriage, I will still rely on Jake to change my ring doorbell batteries!
Junior Bridesmaid
Rachayl Fine has known Adiva since before she can remember. Adiva is part of Rachayl’s much loved South African family in Baltimore. Rachayl especially loves telling Adiva all her stories, most of all her various medical complaints. Best of all, Rachayl loves hearing some naughty Poppy stories! Being asked to be a junior bridesmaid literally had Rachayl jumping for joy – she can’t wait!!

Hi. My name is Layla. My mom is Adiva’s first cousin. I am so excited to be a junior bridesmaid at her and Jake’s wedding. It’s interesting to know that my mom was a bridesmaid in Dan & Diane’s wedding and Adiva was a flower girl in my parents’ wedding. I can’t wait to celebrate with Adiva and Jake and all their guests. When I am not in weddings I like to do hip-hop dancing and snuggle with my dog Bo.
