Addison and I first met around fifteen years ago. I had just graduated from JMU and was still living in Harrisonburg, while he was a local boy. We crossed paths one night out at the Artful Dodger, but it was not meant to be at that time. That meeting would lay the foundation for our reconnection years later, facilitated by a dear friend who is no longer with us. My friend Maida happened to see Addison down at the river and she passed along to him that I was single again. Addison then reached out to me and we began talking. We talked and talked and talked and once or twice a year Addison would come visit me. After two years of this we both knew we wanted to be with each other, but that it would mean dating long distance for the time being. It was difficult, hard, and took a lot of commitment, but we made it. Here we are almost six years after reconnecting planning our wedding. Rivers and roads led us to this moment and we are so excited to finally make our lifetime commitment to each other in front of all the people we love. We fell in love riding, hiking, and exploring the Shenandoah Valley together and there is no place we would rather celebrate our love with you all.
