Wedding Party

Lauren Cannata

Maid of Honor

Alex met Lauren at UConn in 2013 while they were pursuing their Master’s degrees in speech pathology. After graduation, they shared two NYC apartments as well as countless memories both in and out of the city.

Chris Coates

Best Man

Dan and Chris met in 2008 while both rushing Kappa Sigma at UConn. From the get-go, they were an undeniable one-two punch, serving on their pledge class Executive Board together. Their fraternal duties continued with two more terms on their Executive Board, inevitably wrapping up their leadership run as President and Vice President. Despite Chris living on both coasts since college, the two still regularly see each other whether down the Jersey shore, NYC, Boston, San Fran, or heck, even Croatia (where this picture was taken).

Makayla Davis

Bridesmaid

Alex met Makayla at UConn in 2010 when she joined Delta Gamma. Though they are sorority sisters, their friendship has always resembled true sisterhood. They have each “borrowed” the other’s clothing for years at time and continue to do so to this day, even though they live over 200 miles apart.

Greg Parker

Best Man

Dan met Greg freshman year at UConn while living in the same dorm, going on to pledge the same fraternity and live together for the next 3 years. They were generally inseparable throughout college, sharing highlights (softball tourney champs, road trip to the Big House, Kemba Walker's magical run, UConn football in a BCS Bowl - not a typo) and lowlights (RA sting operations, hospital visits, accidentally driving into Canada without passports) together. They still share an unhealthy passion for all-things UConn and continue to get together a few times a year, always picking up right where they left off.

Jenna McCormack

Bridesmaid

Alex met Jenna on the first day of their freshman year at East Lyme High School. Jenna immediately took Alex under her wing and introduced her to her extended family, who Alex now refers to as her cousins. Though they went their separate ways for college, they were never more than a phone call and a short drive in their matching Volvo 850s away. After college, they spent two weeks traveling through 5 European cities with Jenna’s cousin, Kayla.

Luca Addabbo

Groomsman

They say 94% of communication is nonverbal, and that’s exactly the way this story begins. Their first meeting coincided with Luca’s emergency tonsillectomy in 2012. Since then, words have been exchanged. Most have been some play on the word “brother”. For example: brotato chip.

Chrissy Nadeau

Bridesmaid

Alex met Chrissy at their first dance class in 1995. After Alex moved to East Lyme for high school, she began sleeping over at Chrissy’s house every Monday night after an afternoon of back to back classes before driving to school on Tuesday morning. Now, their dance experience is limited to salsa dancing in exchange for free margaritas.

Sean Collins

Groomsman

Sean (also known as “Patty”) and Dan’s friendship goes back to middle school when they played on the same travel baseball team. After college, they shared an apartment in Hoboken and numerous shore houses. Though they are no longer roommates, they continue to be irrationally emotional about the Giants and get together on Sunday nights for HBO series and wine.

Melissa Rapenske

Bridesmaid

Alex met Melle at UConn in 2011 when Melle became a new member of Delta Gamma. Their friendship was built on a laundry list of similarities, including their shared birthday and a passion for tap dancing, and cemented after hours spent watching elaborate proposal videos on YouTube. Now they are each in the process of planning their own weddings with the other by their side.

Mike O'Connor

Groomsman

Dan met Mike in 2008 when they pledged the same fraternity at UConn. They became quick friends, bonding over things like girls (sorry, Alex), Boston vs NY sports rivalries and having some good... wholesome fun around campus. To this day, they continue to pedal their co-authored, logical yet nonsensical proverb, "All I'm saying is I'm just saying...".

Marissa Werner

Bridesmaid

Alex met Marissa at UConn in 2009 while rushing Delta Gamma. Though they enjoyed all that sorority life had to offer, their favorite memories from college are “Harry Potter” movie marathons at Marissa’s apartment. They even took a trip to Universal Studios for the opening of Harry Potter World. Marissa’s husband, Gabe, will be officiating the wedding ceremony.

Doug Ross

Groomsman

Dan either met Doug in preschool or at Hebrew school in 3rd grade - either way, we’ll say it’s been a while. Their friendship has been built on a solid foundation of Yankee fandom, onion enthusiasm and a shared loathing of cilantro. They shared an apartment in Hoboken, numerous shore houses and mensch’d it up all over Israel.

Alison Wertheim

Bridesmaid

Alex met Ali in 2013, after Dan had decided that the relationship was going somewhere. They enjoy discussing their shared profession and ganging up on Dan. Alex couldn’t wait to call Ali her sister-in-law and has been lovingly referring to her as “SIL” since she and Dan got engaged.

Nick Vasta

Groomsman

Dan and Nick have been friends since middle school and grew up playing organized (and disorganized) sports together year round. After college, they lived together in Hoboken for two years. While the days of sharing apartments and shore houses are behind them, they continue to play and watch sports together.
