We met in 2005 in Muskegon, MI. Brandon was a student at Central Michigan University and Ashley was pursing her passion of early childhood development in her hometown of Muskegon, MI. Brandon became friends with a fellow CMU Student from Muskegon (Aaron) who just so happened to be one of Ashley's closest friends from church. Aaron invited Brandon to come to Muskegon to go to church and hang with his friends and that is where Brandon and Ashley met. Over the next several years, Brandon directed CMU's Gospel Choir and came to sing in Muskegon from time to time. During that time, Ashley and Brandon became friends, but neither of them knew what God had in store for them. In 2013, Brandon was offered a job as a Senior Prosecuting Attorney in Muskegon, MI. After seeking God about the move, and deciding to go, Brandon reached out to the Muskegon Crew (including Ashley) because he knew that he'd need a community of people with whom he could connect. Upon their move to Muskegon, Ashley (& the fam) wrapped her arms around Brandon, Deserra, and Tamyra. Ashley took on the role of helping Deserra and Tamyra with all of the "girl stuff." Ashley's kindness and friendship created an unbreakable bond between Brandon and Ashley. Brandon and Ashley always had faith and music in common. They both spent a large portion of their lives singing gospel music and serving in ministry. Ashley and Brandon evolved from being friends to being best friends while serving in Brandon Davis and Victory In Praise (shout-out to VIP). Brandon swears that Ashley thought she was the First Lady of VIP from day one! Although everyone else knew that Brandon and Ashley were meant to be, it took a while for them to figure out a path to the future. Years later, after "The Great Fall," multiple prophecies, cross country moves, and lots of reflection, God gave Brandon and Ashley a revelation: It was meant to be! After a push from his brother (Dr. Shaq), Brandon reached out to Ashley and asked her to consider "friendship counseling" as a tool to explore what it would look like to pursue a relationship. Ashley agreed and the rest is history. From that point forward everything went quickly. They made it official in November of 2022, and then on March 31, 2023 Brandon surprised Ashley with a birthday party and asked her to be his wife.
