Hey friend! We are so happy you’re here, and we’re so excited to celebrate with you! Here’s a little bit of background to the story of how we got here :) We met in our homeschool co-op group when we were around 8 years old. In 2018, after years of being in the same classes and hanging out at mutual friends’ houses, I got Adam’s number from the group chat I had made for our little friend circle. Adam had a flip phone at the time, and wasn’t allowed to have girls’ numbers, but despite this we texted every day and even called each other every Friday at 3:00! In February of 2019, much to my dad’s dismay, Adam and I started “dating”. . . if you can even call it that at 12 and (newly) 14 years old! We were each other’s first boyfriend and girlfriend, and first kiss (again, to my dad’s dismay, but who can blame him). We dated through all of middle school and high school, and got to watch each other hit milestones- such as learning to drive, getting jobs, graduating school- and just did life together every day in between. We knew the whole time that we wanted, more than anything, to spend our whole lives together. We strived in that difficult time of waiting to lay a foundation of Christ-centered love, faithfulness, and joy to one day build our future marriage and family upon. Though it felt like it would never ever come, here we are now, counting down to the date we get to say “I do”, surrounded by our favorite people, and finally start the life we’ve been working, waiting, and praying for together for (almost) 6 long years! Adam proposed on July 13, 2024 at one of our long-time favorite date spots, Schiller Park in German Village. He didn’t want me to be suspicious when he would randomly have a big plan for the day, so he had been taking me on surprise dates every Saturday for a couple of months leading up to the day he proposed. He would not tell me what we were doing or where we were going until the day of, only telling me to wear something cute. So each Saturday, I’d get progressively more upset with him, because I knew what he was doing but I had no idea which day would be the day he’d finally propose. When he asked me to marry him on that bridge at Schiller, with the perfect ring (that he picked out with minimal input from me- so proud of him haha!), we both just laughed and cried- so excited that the long-awaited day was finally here! I am so beyond grateful to get to marry my best friend- the one who I have grown up with, and who I now get to grow old with. Praising Jesus every day for this love we share. We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with everyone in April, it couldn’t come soon enough! -Future Mr. & Mrs. Rink
