Our Story

It all started on Sunday December 5, 2010 at Lonestar Eatery in Commerce, TX.

It was Sydney's first day and she was training at the bar. Not so coincidentally, Sundays were the only days that Adam still worked there. He was off, sitting at the bar with a margarita, eating his usual surf ‘n’ turf. After talking for a while, he left. A few days later, he messaged her on Facebook and they decided to hang out. They have been inseparable ever since. Anybody who knows Adam knows that he does not make decisions lightly. When they decided to buy the Jeep, his car stalled twice on the way to the dealership and he was still hesitant! He’s the partner who takes time to analyze every move before making it, ensuring not only that it's the right decision but it's also practical. For those who know Sydney, they know that “patience” isn't in her vocabulary. Luckily, Adam has enough patience for the two of them. But where she lacks patience, she makes up for with her yummy cooking and good looks (kidding). The result is an equal, loving, and happy partnership. If she knows how to cook the perfect fried chicken, she doesn’t need to know why her car is making that funny noise. If he can navigate the Jeep through the trails of Colorado, he doesn’t need to know how to read insurance policies. He proposed on January 1, 2021. She suspected a Christmas time proposal since they were celebrating 10 years together, but it didn’t happen. Then she thought that it would happen on NYE at dinner, but when it didn't happen, she completely forgot about it. When he proposed at midnight it was perfect. A midnight proposal on NYE never occurred to her. People always ask, “what took so long,” but the life we have built together has always been on our own timeline. It has taken many laughs, tears, and effort to grow into the people we each deserve. We haven't decided if kids are in our future, as we want to focus on building our careers and buying our first home. We are truly grateful for the friends and family who've been with us throughout our story.
