Sometimes God does miraculous works using ordinary things. Like speaking through a burning bush. Or making water flow from a rock. Or guiding His people through the perils of online dating…. Leshia and Adam were both on Match.com. One for a long time - one for only a few days (we'll let you guess which was which). And then somehow, as only God can do, the vast sea of humanity on the internet was parted, and they found one another. The connection was instant, and they were off to the races right away. Much fun and adventure ensued; from surfing on the Jersey shore, to alligators in the Florida swamps, to planning for resilience in St. Croix. Along the way they became inseparable, each complimenting the other and learning how well they fit together - just like puzzle pieces. They discovered flaws and they glimpsed perfection. They marveled at each other, and they learned to forgive. In short, they fell in love. On the one year anniversary of their first date, Adam proposed and Leshia accepted. And now, exactly one year and two weeks later, they will come together again to exchange vows, celebrate with family and friends, and enter into a covenant before God; in the exact place where he knelt down and asked for her hand in marriage. Leshia, being the smarter of the two, was the first to point out how well Ruth 1:16-17 fits the occasion: "…entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I will be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me." They look forward to their wedding day and to every day beyond. Your thoughts and prayers, love and support are needed, welcomed, and appreciated. Thank you for being a part of our lives, and thank you for celebrating with us. Love, Leshia & Adam
