Coincidently Adam and I had both been convinced by friends to get on tinder. We both swiped right and started chatting right away. Although it did take a few weeks for us to actually meet in person, we had our first date at Shanahan’s in Vancouver, WA. We hit it off so well that you couldn’t keep us apart afterwards! Fast forward to December 23, 2020. I was sitting in the crew room at SeaTac airport, on airport standby waiting to see if I would get a trip. The flight attendant I was sitting with got reassigned and was not able to work her trip over Christmas. That trip overnighted in Portland and I was able to pick up that trip, so that I can spend Christmas eve with Adam and his family. The next morning I flew out of Portland to Denver and Adam came with me. I was so exhausted when I arrived in Denver all I wanted to do was nap. I felt so bad because Adam came with me so I knew I had to pull it together and get up so we could go do something. We decided to go out and look at Christmas lights. Once we got back to our room, we sat down in front of the window overlooking downtown Denver and Adam got on one knee and proposed. It’s taken us a little longer than we had planned to actually tie the knot. We had some challenges due to everyone’s favorite excuse COVID-19.
