Like the vast majority of people these days, and in the post-Covid world, we met through a dating app. Our first date was on April 26th, 2022, at Bear Chase Brewery for Trivia Night. After Colleen made Adam chug the remainder of his beer after he promised he would after getting a correct trivia answer, things were off and running. A post-trivia meal was expected to ensue at the local pizza joint, only to find out it was closed. This led us to none other than McDonald's. With another wrinkle thrown our way (the dining room was closed; only drive thru open), we went through the drive through, placed our order, and ate in Adam's car (what a romantic first meal!). But conversation ensued and the date ended well. A few dates later (Adam to Winchester, Colleen to Frederick), and the rest is history!

In early 2023, after living together for a few months (and Colleen actually being able to deal with Adam), we planned a trip to Europe together. After tossing around a few various locations, we quickly landed on doing a several-stop trip, and decided to venture to Paris, Athens, and Santorini in May/June. Adam had been to Santorini before, and knew how special of a place it is. And knowing how special of a person Colleen is, he knew he wanted this to be the spot where he would ask her to marry him. After communicating the idea with a friend (thanks Greg!), Adam scheduled a photographer to do a "formal photo shoot" around the island of Santorini. Colleen claims she "was hoping" it would happen then (Adam doesn't believe it). Leading up to the big day, Adam was in contact with the photographer and they had the route mapped out, and the exact spot it would take place, and the verbal cue from the photographer to Adam when scene and lighting was perfect. Being caught up in the moment, Adam missed the verbal cue and the photographer had to give Adam "the nod" to kick off the proposal. Adam got down on one knee, asked the question, and Colleen said "Yay!", which Adam assumed was a "Yes", which is why now you're on our website reading this and have been invited to our big day!
