It all started back in 2020... Will had recently returned from a deployment and Abbey had just started her 2nd year of physical therapy school. Due to returning to the US during COVID, Will was on a 2 week lock down on a farm in the middle of nowhere. He began swiping on Hinge and came across a girl that he knew he had to take on a date. They started to get to know each other through Face Times that included reading the bible with each other, sharing past experiences, and discovering so many common interests. Shortly after these Face Times, Will asked Abbey on their first date. Will had never been to Greenville, NC before but planned a dinner date with axe throwing after. The dinner spot was not available for walk-ins so Abbey suggested that they go to her favorite burger joint down the street where she finished her burger twice as fast as him. He knew immediately that she was a keeper. Will is a spontaneous and adventure seeking guy who always planned the best dates. Whether it was eating Chinese takeout in the bed of his truck while listening to music downtown or making a drive to the Outer Banks, Will always knew how to make Abbey feel special. Their time dating was full of life changes, growth, set backs, adventures, friends, family, and faith. Will finished his enlistment as an Army Airborne Infantryman in April of 2021 and then made the move from Fort Bragg to Greenville, NC. Here their relationship took off and they knew that the rest of their lives would be spent together. In August of 2021, Will and Abbey took a trip to Iceland where they explored the island while camping out in rooftop tent. On August 12th Will proposed to Abbey and she said yes!! (happiest day!!!) Shortly after becoming engaged they set their wedding date for November 19th, 2022. They were torn between having a tiny wedding and a larger one with all of their closest friends and family so they decided to have both!! On January 6th, 2022 they took a spur of the moment weekend trip to Virginia where they eloped. Even though they eloped privately, they still wanted to share their wedding day with all of those that mean so much to them and their anniversary will be 11/19/22. 2022 has been a huge year with lots of endings and new beginnings. Together they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, Abbey graduated from ECU with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and Will began his college journey at The University of Tennessee where he is majoring in logistics. They have been extremely blessed during their time together. Their faith has grown stronger, their families have been so supportive, and their friends have been there for them through it all. They cannot say thank you enough to everyone who has played a part in them becoming the couple they are today and they are SO EXCITED to celebrate with all of those people who hold a special place in their heart.
