After a year of patiently waiting, it is finally time to come together safely and celebrate love, community, and marriage. We were so grateful for your support through 2020 as we navigated a "micro-wedding." Apparently we had one before they earned that fun name! It is finally safe to come together again, and we want you all to dance, eat, and laugh with us. Be prepared for great food, live music, and a beautiful setting at Ravenswood Mansion. We can't wait to see you!
We met on the campus of our alma mater, Centre College, in Danville, Kentucky. We met during a rare snowstorm on campus. The students grabbed impromptu sleds and hit the mountains (actually, small hills). Jubal, an RA for his dormitory, hosted an event with hot chocolate and cookies following the afternoon revelry. I happened to attend. The rest was downhill! Jubal, a 2018 graduate with a degree in economics and finance, moved to Nashville following graduation to earn a graduate degree in finance from Vanderbilt University. I completed my coursework for a degree in history and education in December 2019. I am teaching kindergarteners and coaching elementary and middle school children at Oak Hill School. Jubal works for naviHealth in Nashville, Tennessee. We recently planted our roots in Nashville and bought our first home in December of 2020. Jubal was raised in Richmond, Kentucky, and is the son of Mardi and Jubal Miller. He is older brother to Eliza and Potter. I am all Nashville! I am the daughter of Carol and Eric Skinner.
In 2019, I studied abroad during a Summer term through Centre College. Jubal met me in Paris following the term to travel together through France and Italy during the week-long break. After seeing the sites of Paris, we traveled to Lake Como, in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, set against the foothills of the Alps. Unbeknownst to me, Jubal had been sneaking around in Nashville to secure the ring during his time at Vanderbilt and orchestrating his time and place. On our second day at Lake Como, we were gushing over the view of the lake and mountains when... Jubal took a knee. And I said, “Sí!”
