Joe was the very first person I met at Freshman year orientation at Bishop Shanahan in 2010. Like every incoming freshman, I was eager to make friends and start my high school experience. If you told me that on that August day in 2010 I was meeting my future husband, I would have never believed you (partly because he ignored me, so I thought the first friend I made already didn't like me). We stayed friends for the rest of high school and made many memories together. After graduating high school, we stayed connected and spent our summers home hanging out. We got closer and closer, until one day in 2016 things changed. We started dating and never looked back! Through the rest of college, first jobs, multiple apartments, and now to our wedding I can't picture anything differently. I am so grateful for the numerous twists and turns our lives took that led to us ending up together.

We first met the summer before high school during freshman orientation. We were sat alphabetically and Abby sat across from me at the lunch tables. Here we didn't say much more than our names and what school we were coming from, but this is where everything started and we soon became friends through homeroom, lunch, and a few classes together. It wasn't until after high school that we spent more time together and became better friends as we would hang out during the summers home from college. Each year our group of old friends from high school would get a little smaller, but we always stuck together until our relationship started late in the summer of 2016 after a day at the beach and hours gazing out at the ocean and to each other. Through the next few years we went through phases of long distance to finish school and then spending weekends together when back at home. After each moment together I would look forward to the next until we were able to move in to our first apartment and have been inseparable since, little dog included.
