The Rome Restaurant
Great spot for dinner Friday night—lots of townies. 10/10 would recommend the white garlic pizza. The Rome is a 7 minute drive from the hotel. From The Rome, a two minute walk down Main Street will get you to the welcome drinks at Teddy Gallagher's.
3 Restaurant
A 5 minute drive from the hotel, yummy food and a little fancier than The Rome. It will be a 4 minute drive to the welcome drinks at Teddy Gallagher's from here.
King Street Cafe
About a 5 minute drive from the hotel. This is where I would be eating breakfast on Saturday morning (especially if I was a tad hungover). It can be pretty busy, so plan accordingly.
Ferrara's Market
An Italian specialty market in downtown Franklin — beautiful meat and cheese situation and an absolute fire deli.
Southern New England Trunkline Trail Franklin Trailhead
Really nice walking/running trail. There is a small parking lot across the street from the Grove Street entrance.
Elizabeth's Bagels & More
A Sunday tradition for years. The perfect bagel. My old order: a garlic bagel toasted with the cheddar jalapeño cream cheese and some kind of iced coffee named after a candy bar.
Muffin House Cafe
Three minutes from The Thayer House. I cannot recommend the cappuccino chip muffin enough. It was at one of these outside tables that I told Garrett I loved him for the first time!
