We both grew up in the Charlotte, NC, area but didn't meet until our senior year at UNC Chapel Hill in 2016. We instantly hit it off and both decided after graduation to move to Washington, DC to start our careers. Over the past 8 years, we've had so much fun traveling, going to rock shows, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, exploring the best food in DC, and obsessing over our English bulldog, Chompers. We designed the engagement ring together, using a special emerald from Abby's grandmother, Nancy, who passed in 2006. It holds even more special significance to us since both of our birthdays are in May, and emerald is our birthstone. We got engaged in March 2023 in Salt Lake City, which has become one of our favorite places to ski. Because of its iconic DC views and historic beauty, The Hay Adams Hotel is the perfect venue for us to say "I Do."  We can't wait to celebrate with you in November!
