Like all good love stories, we met on a popular dating site. We had an instant connection and spent several weeks chatting all day and night before we met. Our first date was at Meadhall in Cambridge where we enjoyed craft beers and quoting comedians. Ryan quickly fell in love with Abby's smile and Abby quickly fell in love with Ryan's quick wit. We shared 3 more dates over the next week (or 2 if Abby's is counting) where we enjoyed running, a movie, and a comedy show. We were quick to introduce each other to our friends and family within the first month of dating. The following months we went on both our extended family's vacations, attended our first wedding together, and countless adventures. Then March of 2020 rolled in and we were forced to stay apart due to the early days of quarantine. Although the days and then weeks were hard for us being apart, they helped us realize how much we wanted to be together. By June of 2020 we decided to move in together and Abby moved to Eastie with Ryan. From there we bought a few new pieces of furniture and two new kittens joined our family by October. Fast forward to Sunday October 9th, 2022 where it was supposed to be a day to celebrate Ryan's 40th birthday and 1st ever Marathon in Chicago, Ryan decided to make the day even more exciting by proposing to Abby! Abby said YES! and then Ryan took off running. We were fortunate to celebrate our engagement with wonderful friends that had also traveled for the marathon weekend and quickly shared the news with more friends and family. We can't wait to begin our married life in our new home come June 2023!
