Ron and I were at a CrossFit Regionals Competition in Atlanta in May of 2016. I was living in San Antonio, TX and he was living in Philadelphia, PA. I was there with athlete services and he was there as an alternate for the CrossFit Love team and was serving on the medical team. The event was the whole weekend and we saw each other along the way, but were introduced while watching the last heat of the last event of the whole weekend. My former boss said, "Abby, have you met Ron?" and we chatted for a few minutes. Then, Ron asked what I was up to that night and invited us out to meet up with their group. I said, "great!" and gave him my number. That night he texted me to meet up with them out in Atlanta, but I respectfully declined (even though I wanted to meet him out) because we had an early flight! He was pleasantly persistent, but alas, I stayed in. Then, the next morning, I had a pleasant surprise - a text saying "Good morning!" from this handsome guy I didn't meet up with the night before. We texted a little bit and I discovered he was on his way to Greece for an entrepreneur's development conference. We continued to talk, but next thing I know I had a text from this same guy doing a handstand in front of the Parthenon in Greece. So, I started to think this guy was pretty cool and adventurous ;) So, we chatted while he was there and got to know each other a bit. Then, he said, "you should come visit me in Philly." I said, "if you fly me there." So he flew me to Philly. Then, I kept flying back and the rest was history. We have had 5 wonderful years of adventures since. I like to think he fell in love at first sight ;) We can't wait to celebrate the beginning of the rest of forever with you all.
