How We Met

1.22.2022

It started with a friendly hello on a popular dating app called Hinge. Followed by a period of ghosting (give Abby a break, she was moving from another state and got overwhelmed! LOL), which led to a first encounter at a popular dive bar in Detroit called The Detroiter. A romance blossomed that night, even with a very disappointing Packers playoff loss. Joshua believes he was the reason for the Packers loss.

The Proposal

8.15.23

In the heart of our new home in Bloomfield Hills, Joshua meticulously planned a surprise proposal that would soon turn into a beautiful unexpected moment. Joshua arranged a romantic dinner and adorned the space with a sea of roses to create an intimate setting in our new haven. However, life had other plans as Abby's day at work turned out to be more hectic than expected. Undeterred, Joshua swiftly adapted and brought the entire setup, including the flowers and the carefully prepared dinner, back to our home in Royal Oak. As Abby walked through the door, she was greeted by the soulful strains of "Beautiful" by Twiddle, a song that resonated deeply with our connection. The ambiance was set, and in that tender moment, Joshua poured out his feelings and asked the question that would forever alter our lives in the greatest way. Despite the change in plans, the warmth of our home and the thoughtfulness behind every detail made it a proposal as unique and special as our journey together. And so, against the backdrop of music and the comfort of our Royal Oak home, Abby said yes, marking the beginning of our exciting chapter of love and commitment.
