Our first date was on September 9th of 2022, we met for lunch at Groucho's in Florence, South Carolina. No idea what Abby saw in Austin, who at the time was rocking a perm along with a Hawaiian Shirt. (Little did she know the Hawaiian Shirt was for the a work party) Austin however, knew from the moment she stepped out of her car that she was the one. She was wearing a blue t-shirt that complemented her green eyes and blonde hair. She looked beautiful. We sat in a booth and had a great conversation, learning a lot about each other's goals and ambitions. Both of us opted for a salad for lunch. (Austin didn't want to get messy eating in front of Abby) After lunch the two of us walked to our car which we conveniently parked beside each other. Austin asked Abby "What're you doing this weekend?" to which she replied "Hanging out with you" while pointing at him with a smile on her face.

Our first weekend being officially moved into our new home in Charleston, South Carolina. We were joined by Abby's Mom, Sister, Brother-in-Law, and Nephew. We had plans to show them around the area, taking them out to different places we thought they would enjoy. On the faithful Sunday, we took them to Botany Bay on Edisto Island. Abby thought were were going there to show her family the beach and look at seashells, little did she know Austin had much more planned. Abby was looking at seashells with her mom when Austin thought he had found a good one, bending down and asking her "What about this one?" Abby turned around and her face lit up with excitement, she couldn't believe what was happening. She said "Is this really happening?" followed by a pause and shouting "YES!" after which Austin told told her how he had come up with something to say but couldn't get the words out. Now we are engaged and excited to start this journey together and excited to celebrate it with you all.
