Abbey and Christian met in the TSA pre-check line at the ATL Airport in May 2018. Christian was sporting a man bun and his road-warrior consulting garb en route to a company meeting in Nashville. Abbey was traveling with younger sister Anna to older sister Emily's bachelorette party in Florida. Anna is credited with the introduction. Christian invited them to watch him play at the Atlanta Hustle Frisbee game the following weekend. Abbey mentioned her “busy schedule” but obliged due to Anna’s enthusiasm. Now before we go on, the Olsen-Glass relationship predates the Christian and Abbey one. Starting in 6th grade at Paideia Anna and Anders were buddies and Janet and Virginia were class moms. Janet and Tim worked on grants together and Jonathan and Tim coincidentally had their offices just three doors down the hall from each other at Emory. The Olsens were regular guests at the Glass house for New Years Eve. Again coincidentally, they were both parent chaperones on a frisbee trip to Lecco, Italy, for Anders and Anna when they played in the Juniors World Cup Ultimate Frisbee tournament. Needless to say, it’s shocking that Abbey and Christian had never met. Back to the original story. Abbey came to Christian’s Frisbee game over-dressed in the latest Abbey Glass summer line. They chatted for a bit and a few days later and in true Glass fashion, Abbey asked Christian out on a date. On that fateful Wednesday night, they stayed out until 3am sipping cocktails at an arcade bar, dancing at a reggae club, and ending the night on his apartment rooftop. From there, they traveled together around the southeast for Abbey’s trunk shows and Christian’s Frisbee games. They eventually moved into the “fashion house” in Loring Heights where Abbey runs her business and adopted a huge dog named Juno. In the summer of 2020 Christian proposed at the Glass’ summer house in Greenwood, Maine, on the dock with sisters in tow and Anders on FaceTime.
