We met at the beginning of our junior year of high school. We were introduced by Addi Soerensen, one of Abbey's bridesmaids. Christian was on the football team and Abbey would run extra laps after track practice just to try and catch his eye! After a week or two of knowing each other, Christian took Abbey on their first date to eat cheeseburgers and get to know one another. After that first date, we were both head over heels. We started dating on November 18th, 2018 and have fallen more in love with every year that has passed!

During the summer of 2023, Christian spent the majority of the summer at Fort Knox, completing Army training. The day after he came home, he asked me to dinner and I did not think anything of it. After getting ready, I came out into the living room to find him playing "Your Man" by Josh Turner. We danced together in the family room, happy to be reunited after a summer apart. I heard a knock at the door and when I answered it, my Mom and sister, Sarah, were standing outside. I was shocked to see them and as I turned around, Christian was down on one knee. It was the easiest YES of my life! After that, Christian continued the surprises and had all of our best friends come to celebrate our new engagement. We spent the rest of the night laughing, hugging, and celebrating. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in December!
