Downtown Asheville is about a 40 minute drive from the Highland Inn. There are many great restaurants, breweries and venues in the area. If you plan to see Asheville please let us know and we would be happy to make recommendations!
Pisgah National Forest

There are numerous great outdoor spots in Western North Carolina, however, the closest to Highland Inn is the Pisgah National Forest at about a 30 minute drive away. Just off of US Highway 276 are numerous well regarded hiking spots including the Art Loeb Trail, Looking Glass Falls and Looking Glass Rock. Drive a bit further and you will reach the Blue Ridge Parkway where you can find hikes at Graveyard Fields and the Shining Rock Wilderness. Ask Aaron if you have any questions!
