I was introduced to Jayvonne through one of my best friends. They went to the same church, and my best friend told Jayvonne that he had a friend she should consider getting to know. That same week, we facetimed each other and had a whole 4 hour conversation, just getting to know each other. So, with me being a worship leader, that week I coincidentally had a week full of churches in North Carolina. It was thanksgiving weekend when she came to visit me at one of my shows. When she walked in, I was on stage, and we immediately felt a strong connection with each other. Not only did we feel an immediate connection, but the moment she walked in, the Holy Spirit gave her a word regarding me and her responsibility to guard my heart. That marked her because that had never happened to her before. She would say that’s the moment she knew I was the one. I flew her home to New Jersey to meet my family and they loved her. A year from that date, I flew her to New York and proposed to her right under the Rockefeller Tree in Times Square. Now, is the beginning of our journey of FOREVER.
