Airbnb or VRBO

If you are looking to stay outside the heart of the city or with a larger group, Airbnb and VRBO are great options. Below are a few neighborhoods we'd recommend looking in. You can also find good hotels in some of these neighborhoods as well. LAKEVIEW — 15 min Uber from wedding venue. Near lakefront, great coffee shops, and Wrigley Field (one of Erin’s former neighborhoods!) LINCOLN PARK — 10 min Uber from wedding venue. Charming walkable neighborhood, great shopping, very close to lake, large park and Lincoln Park Zoo OLD TOWN — 10 min Uber from wedding venue. Lively neighborhood with great bars and restaurants. Can walk to downtown or Gold Coast. WEST LOOP — 10min Uber to wedding venue. Fun, industrial area just west of downtown. Streets lined with restaurants, coffee shops, bars and trendy hotels. Less access to green space or lake. GOLD COAST — 5 min Uber to wedding venue. Great if you want to be walkable to downtown attractions, but not right in the bustle of it all, and amongst beautiful buildings! High end shopping and right off Magnificent Mile. RIVER NORTH — Same neighborhood as the venue. Walk to the river, lake, and hundreds of restaurants! WICKER PARK — 15 min Uber to venue. Hip area with trendy restaurants and coffee shops. Great vintage shopping! RAVENSWOOD / NORTH CENTER — 25 min Uber to venue. Quaint, quiet neighborhoods with less hustle and bustle, but near great breweries, restaurants and parks. (Another former neighborhood of Erin’s!)

Flight

O'Hare or Midway

You'll likely find more flight options coming into O'Hare (ORD), but Midway (MDW) is an equally good option! Uber/Lyft/Taxi is the easiest way to get from the airport to the city, but for a less expensive option, you can take the train. The Blue line from O'Hare or Orange line from Midway will get you downtown, directly from the airport. If you would like to take the train, Google or Apple Maps will give you exact directions.
