We met during our last semester of college at the University of Arizona as two broke college students taking advantage of a local bar's "Whiskey Wednesday" theme night. James, fortified by whiskey, bravely asked me out on a date in front of several friends at the end of the night! From there, our first date happened at a local restaurant called Hermanos where we both laughed at my unfortunate decision of getting a flight of sour beers! From there, our love brewed (hehe, get it?) into a very hoppy and smooth relationship over the years!

It was on Marie's 25th birthday that James decided to pop the BIG question! Marie wanted a low-key birthday celebration and decided on a fancy homemade dinner and wine. The two made Marie's favorite dish: gnocchi. James bought the first bottle of wine they shared during one of their first dates. While in her pajamas as Marie was reading her birthday card from James, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! After ugly crying for a couple of minutes, Marie nodded "yes"! We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in wine country!
