Matron of Honor
I met Tania through Lauren who was a mutual friend of ours. My first impression of her was that she is a feisty New Yorker who keeps me laughing and I may have to fight when we go out. We became the best of friends and haven’t missed any major moments in each other’s lives. Tania has inspired me to become a better person, stay determined, and to never give up no matter what. She never forgets birthdays and has sent me random thoughtful gifts just because she cares. I have watched her become an awesome mom, a great wife, savvy business woman, and continue to put others before herself. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding and am thankful she is my Matron of Honor.
Matron of Honor
I met Lauren 18 years ago in our freshman year of college at Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA. Lauren was one of the first people I met there. I was introduced to her by our late friend Kristi Manigault. She has been a great friend from the very beginning. When I met her we immediately clicked and I knew I had a friend for a lifetime. No matter where we are in the world we have always been near at heart. I am the Godmother of her son Christian, who was born in Japan. He is the ring bearer. Lauren currently resides in Washington state. I had the honor of being her Maid of Honor and am thrilled that she will stand beside me as my Matron of Honor.
Bridesmaid
I would’ve never guessed that I would have found one of my best friends and confidants at work. We have experienced early mornings, survival swim classes, frustrating gun range days, and many more trials together. ShaJuan and I started our careers in Los Angeles, CA together. She is a true Georgia peach and it shows by her charm and sweet spirit. Our friendship is a testament that it’s not about how long you have known someone, it’s the relationship you develop with them. ShaJuan has encouraged me when times were tough and always has a positive outlook on life. We have traveled the world together while capturing memories! I am so grateful to have ShaJuan as a Bridesmaid.
Best Man
Not many people still have close friends from high school that they can still call friends today. We both had a love for football and played together while in high school. We were each other’s workout partners also. We had similar interests in church and video games. We found ourselves always in friendly competitions. Funny how we each ordered XL pizzas and had competitions on who could finish theirs first (yes the entire pizza). As the years went by, we watched each other grow up from being teenagers to men. It’s been nice watching his work ethic transition into his career and family. His commitment to his wife, children, and God has truly been inspiring. We have so many memories and I am honored to have him as a Groomsman.
Groomsman
DG and I became good friends while coaching and teaching at Laney College in California. We also helped each other study while pursing our Kinesiology degrees. Off the field and away from teaching I have learned a lot from DG. He holds me accountable, gives spiritual guidance, and I can truly trust his advice in various areas of my life. He is always pushing me to be a better man and coach. Friends are definitely hard to find and some come later in life. His nickname for Kesha is “Little Country”.
Flower Girl
Desiree is the niece of Kesha. She has such a lovely and inquisitive personality. Desiree looks forward to her flower girl duties and has been practicing her walk down the aisle.
Ring Bearer
Christian is the son of Lauren Francis, Matron of Honor and the god-son of Kesha. He is always full of energy and loves to see Kesha via FaceTime from Washington State. Fun fact: Christian was the very first baby born in Japan, Okinawa in 2012. He takes his ring security duties very seriously.
