About LEAP Weddings

Ben Mahoney

Owner

After graduating from the University of Iowa with a degree in film, I hit the ground running and began LEAP Weddings, which allowed me to do something I truly love - create films, every weekend. LEAP has taught me how to improve my skills as a filmmaker, editor, producer, leader and entrepreneur and, as a result, I have been able to build three more companies - The BMP Film Co., Epoch Studio Salon, and Our Days. It's been a great run so far and, from the looks of it, I don't really plan to stop running anytime soon. Thank you for checking us out and I look forward to working with you.

2 Filmmakers with coverage starting at the ceremony through reception. Includes a Multi-Camera Edit of Ceremony in full, a Multi-Camera Edit of Reception Formalities in full (introductions, Toasts, Cake Cutting, Etc.), and raw footage.

Trailer of a Tale

Description

2 Associate Filmmakers starting at 7 hours of coverage. Includes a Creative Highlight Film (approx. 3-5 minutes) edited to music, Multi-Camera Edit of Ceremony, and Multi-Camera Edit of Reception Formalities (intros, cake cutting, speeches, formal dances, etc).

Associate Experience

Description

2 Associate Filmmakers starting at 7 hours of coverage. Includes Narrative Highlight Film with natural audio from throughout the day (approx. 7-10 minutes), Multi-Camera Edit of Ceremony, and Multi-Camera Edit of Reception Formalities (intros, cake cutting, speeches, formal dances, etc).

Principal Experience

8 hours

Description

2 Principal Filmmakers and 1 Assistant starting at 8 hours of coverage. Includes a Narrative Film using interviews with the couple, friends, and family (approx. 12-15 minutes), Multi-Camera Edit of Ceremony, and Multi-Camera Edit of Reception Formalities (intros, cake cutting, speeches, formal dances, etc).

    My husband and I hired LEAP to film our wedding in 2019 and we are so glad we did! They filmed my brother's wedding a few years before and I knew they were our top choice for ours. From the initial appointment, the LEAP team talked to us and to hear about who we are, our relationship, and our vision for our wedding. They were easy to talk with, fun to be around, and very professional. On our wedding day, the entire team was great to have around. The were comfortable to talk to, but not intrusive, and they were able to capture everything from the big moments to the little details. The final product was so beautifully put together and truly encapsulated our favorite and most memorable parts of what we had envisioned. When we received our video, it was so much fun to relive our wedding day and I am so grateful to have it for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend LEAP Weddings highly enough!
