Walnut Hill has been a place of relaxation and joy for our family for generations. Over the last year we have transformed our family property into the venue of our dreams while still maintaining the historic outbuildings and natural beauty that make this place so special. Come take a tour with us and explore this hidden gem only 20 minutes from downtown Raleigh.

The Lakeside Gardens

Weddings at Walnut Hill

The lakeside gardens are located directly off our white barn. This location features a turfed semi circle surrounded by lush crepe myrtles and flowering garden beds. The adjoining covered porch provides shade for guests during warm summer celebrations and houses our wood burning fireplace for cozy fall events.

The Estate Gardens

Weddings at Walnut Hill

The Estate gardens features our Osage Orange tree that has been a favorite ceremony site for our couples since we opened for weddings! This 300 year old tree makes for a breathtaking natural backdrop when saying I do. The lawn and surrounding gardens also makes a perfect location for a garden style cocktail hour or a beautiful backdrop for portraits.

The Pavilion

Our covered pavilion is a fully covered option with market lights, fans, and a beautiful stamped concrete floor making it an ideal area for your cocktail hour or ceremony. Especially if we have any concerns about heat or rain showers on the day of your wedding. A good back up plan is crucial in North Carolina!

The Estate House

Weddings at Walnut Hill

Our Estate House was built in 1990. Today it is the perfect location is relax and get ready for your wedding day. Enjoy breakfast and mimosas in our spacious kitchen and dining room. Then head upstairs for your pampering. The Estate House has a large getting ready room with a full hair and makeup counter as well as a separate bridal suite in case you need a break away from all the chaos. Oh it's also got the famous anthropologie mirror (yeah that giant one) perfect for those dress shots!
