I have a HUGE issue with this venue !! We did have a wedding recently there. Many promises verbally and via text… but were lies. I am happy to share our experience with the intent to forewarn ANYONE thinking of using this venue… 1) unsanitary conditions (a refrigerator that I wouldn’t put dog food in, rat, or mouse droppings underneath the kitchen sink, no paper towels to dry your hands in the bathrooms, but instead, he kindly put some bath towels in there, no trash cans in any of the bathrooms) 2) We were told there would be parking at the field next to the venue up until the night before, and then on the day of the wedding were told guests had to park 1 mile away at a local church and he would shuttle people back-and-forth. We had to inform every wedding guest to park at this church. He stopped shuttling people when he thought everybody was there. We had one of the brides friends who was running late and could not get a shuttle from him to the venue. She ran the whole mile to the wedding in hopes that she wouldn’t miss her best friends Wedding. She ended up making it just in time to see the kiss. 3) venue Jeff was in everybody’s grill on the day of the wedding so much that he was videoing things, trying to sell his book to guests, in the bridal suite, removing items, and even had the audacity to tour two people during our wedding 4) venue Jeff told us he would have 150 chairs and 20 banquet tables for the wedding. When he was asked a few weeks before the wedding, he said oh yeah, I did not get those so you will have to secure some Yes, I have pictures. Our plan was to give him some constructive feedback once things settle down on our end. Clearly, from reading this post, it would be a waste of my breath. I really try to assume good intent, and believe that it is important to giving constructive feedback, but we are still absolutely in disbelief of all the took place. My personal opinion is he should do the right thing and refund some of the money (we paid 5k) but clearly that’s not that type of person he is. I try not to wish ill on anybody, but I do not believe this is a business that he’s going to be very successful with based on ours and other peoples experience.
