About this venue

Our story began in 1957 in the small west Texas town of Monahans. At Frosty’s local burger and ice cream shack, Carol Ann was enjoying an evening out with friends, when Sam, a young airman spotted her in the crowd; He leaned in and told his buddies, “I’m going to marry that girl”. Courting her through the family’s old screen door, their love story began…. lasting over 60 years. Gatherings of family and friends were the hallmark to Sam and Carol Ann’s life together. They enjoyed sharing their stories full of adventure, love and laughter….The Casa at Canyon Lake is a legacy to their love story. Dedicated in loving memory of Sam and Carol Ann, the family renovated the property in 2024, creating a wedding & event venue to continue building a lifetime of treasured memories.

    The Casa at Canyon Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the beginning, the owners Rocky and Stacy were incredibly hands-on and accessible, falling over themselves to make sure everything ran smoothly on our big day. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and spacious, with a panoramic view of Canyon Lake and stunning old growth oak trees. The value is unbeatable, especially for families on a budget - in my opinion, it rivals much more expensive event centers. As an added bonus, Rocky and Stacy offer a generous discount for first responders and military, which we really appreciated. Overall, we could not have asked for a better wedding venue, and we're so grateful to Rocky, Stacy, and the entire Casa team for helping to make our special day perfect.

    My nephew’s wedding at this venue was truly unforgettable. The large deck provided a perfect gathering spot, giving guests room to mingle and enjoy the surroundings.
