About this venue
Flanagan Farm hosts exquisite events year round. With two magnificent barns set on 66 acres, the property is versatile and accommodating—designed to take advantage of Maine’s four seasons. Flanagan Farm offers an unforgettable backdrop to host your event, whether it is an intimate gathering, an all out bash, or the wonderful options in between. Weddings at Flanagan Farm include use of the entire property, including overnight accommodations in the farmhouse for 10-12 guests from Thursday through Sunday. You are welcome to host your ceremony and reception on site, as well as rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, and even a farewell brunch if you'd like. Additionally, Flanagan Farm is among the closest wedding venues to Portland, at just 25 minutes drive, so many couples love that they can combine the best of Portland (including hotels or rental homes for guests) with the natural beauty of an elevated outdoor setting for their wedding weekend.

The sophisticated on-site farmhouse, reimagined in a meticulous renovation, offers overnight accommodation for up to 12 guests. The luxurious home, which was profiled in The New York Times, provides a stunningly comfortable place to unwind and prepare. The 3-season detached cottage is the perfect retreat—featuring an outdoor shower and views of the wildflower pasture. The kitchen is fully equipped with two dishwashers and farm sinks, Carrera marble countertops and a soapstone island.

Flanagan Farm offers full weekend property rentals, with one couple having exclusive use of the 66-acre property from midday Thursday to midday Sunday. This includes overnight accommodation on-site for up to 12 guests. For couples planning on a Friday or Sunday wedding, these dates of stay can be adjusted. Our weekend rental offers couples maximum flexibility to bring their vision to life and to even host multiple events on-site.

From the charm of Flanagan Farm’s stunning, heated barn, to the magic of 66 snow-covered acres to explore right at your doorstep, winter weddings at Flanagan Farm are truly one of a kind. Between December-February, Flanagan Farm offers couples a unique opportunity to host their wedding at the property from Friday to Sunday with a number of additional amenities included which are exclusive to the winter season, such as in-house event coordination.

Our wedding at Flanagan Farm
Cannot recommend Flanagan Farm as your wedding venue enough. Mike and Essie were incredible to work with - so accommodating and kind throughout the entire planning process. This venue can really be whatever you make it, but the flow from welcoming our guests to our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing all felt so natural and easy (and beautiful!). We wish we could do it all again!
Amazing Location
What a beautiful location for a wedding! The Haimes (who own the property) were so lovely to work with, they got back to us quickly with any questions we had and the woman Jean who was our on site contact could not have been more helpful and pleasant. The barn, grounds and attached house are the perfect spot for a wedding. Just be sure you understand that you need to rent everything for the space (ie: tables, chairs etc) so the cost can be quite high but it will be lovely!
Charming Venue
Having worked dozens of events at Barn at Flanagan Farm, I can say it stands out among the top venues in Maine. Every visible angle from within the barn (s) is beautiful and the outdoors is just as stunning.
