About this venue

Sparks Water Bar is a gorgeous new restaurant and the Nevada Home of the Wet Woody®. Opened in August 2021, Sparks Water Bar comprises two floors of the waterfront at Sparks Marina. The second floor features private rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows with western-facing views of the Sierra Nevada mountains and Reno’s sparkling lights. The beautifully appointed event space has access to a wrap-around Juliette balcony and a small private deck in the larger room. Sunsets at Sparks Water Bar are truly stunning, creating a one-of-a-kind location for special events in Northern Nevada. Sparks Water Bar’s menu features all of the favorites from Gar Woods and Riva Grill up at the lake, and of course, the world-famous Wet Woody®.

The Sparks Water Bar was the perfect place for our wedding reception. You get to choose your menu (from pre-selected menu options), napkin colors, and floor plan to name a few. Everyone is so professional and helpful from the moment you start planning. The food was so delicious! The view of Reno/Sparks is beautiful and we highly recommend having your event in the evening where you can see the sunset and you have up until the restaurant bar closes. Because it was our wedding, we got to use the elevator rather than walk through the restaurant and it was helpful for our family members who were unable to walk up a flight of stairs. Any food allergies or preferences are accommodated to the best of their ability. Their focus is making sure you and your guests have a good time. To Samantha, Heather, and the staff working our event on May 29th 2022 we cannot thank you enough for making our reception so fun and memorable from start to finish.

You're more than welcome to bring one bottle of wine. We have a corkage fee of $20 per 750ml. No outside liquor is allowed.

For lunch hours, you can have the room(s) from 11:30-5:00. For dinner hours, you can have the room(s) from 5:00-12:00.

Yes, we offer self-parking.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have an elevator to the second floor.

We do not have room rental fees. Instead, we have food and beverage minimums that differ based on the room and day of the week. The food and beverage minimums range from $3,500-$9,000. Except for tax and gratuity, all charges apply toward the minimum. It is always possible to go over the minimum depending on the guest count and details of your event. We're happy to help customize options to work within a budget.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, we'd be happy to discuss other dates and options. We ask that any cancellation be made within 7 days.

We are located 7 miles away from Reno-Tahoe International Airport. You can reach our venue by taking I-580 North to I-80 East. From there, take exit 19 to South McCarran Blvd in Sparks. Turn right onto E Lincoln Way and follow for 0.5 miles. Take another right onto Harbour Cove Drive.
