About this venue

The perfect setting for an unforgettable event, PowerHouse Private Event Venue provides three buildings, the Lower PowerHouse (seats 200 comfortably), the Upper PowerHouse (seats 200 for ceremony comfortably, 100 with tables comfortably) and the Forebay (can seat up to 350 comfortably), -all a unique combination of past and present. While the building is steeped in history, PowerHouse offers modern entertainment and catering options. PowerHouse is beautiful and comfortable, yet a break from the norm. Events overlook picturesque views of the coursing Chattahoochee River and the wide Columbus skyline. Located directly in the heart of downtown (known as Uptown) Columbus. Hotel Indigo Columbus is a partner of PowerHouse, so out of town brides, grooms, and guests can enjoy discounted rates at the luxury hotel when they book a wedding at the PowerHouse. Virtual and in person tours available Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.

Lower PowerHouse

Your memorable event at an unforgettable venue.

This space features exposed brick, natural lighting via large windows, and industrial finishes. The historic building, once a power mill that generated hydroelectricity, still has traces of the past. The turbines were the generators once stood can be subtly seen on the refinished concrete floor. The Lower PowerHouse is the bigger of the two indoor buildings, containing an unfinished kitchen, a covered balcony perfect for a bar or cocktail hour, a handicap elevator, and two multi-stall restrooms.

If renting an indoor space, the Forebay is automatically included in pricing. The perfect place for a cocktail hour, reception, or outdoor ceremony.

Upper PowerHouse

The smaller indoor space is the perfect setting for an intimate-yet-dazzling ceremony, reception or cocktail hour.

This space features refinished concrete floors, large windows for natural light, exposed brick with industrial finishes. This space is regularly used for a wedding ceremony. Contains two stocked restrooms with multiple stalls, track lights with dimmers for optimal lighting, and multiple A/C thermostats for comfortable temperature.
