About this venue

Milliken Manor sits right at the foot of Mount Monadnock and hosts incredible mountain views. With numerous event venues and weekend long rental, you can host as many events as you would like! The Manor is rich with history, and is in a beautiful, luxurious condition. It features a large eat in kitchen, formal dining room, ample sitting rooms, 6 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and shower, a game room and swimming pool. The 2500 square foot barn is renovated to perfection with classy gold lighting features, a built in bar and large picture windows. Just outside the barn is ample land for a beautiful ceremony set up, an outdoor patio for cocktail hour and a covered pavilion. There is a great security in knowing you have a rain plan here. All of the event spaces include tables and chairs!

The Manor

Historic Manor with ample space.

The Manor's first floor features a large eat in kitchen, formal dining room, a vibey den with a wet bar, large parlor and screened in porch. The parlor and porch are spacious and can be set up with tables and chairs for events. The rest of the Manor has six bedrooms, each with a king bed and full bathroom, a swimming pool and a game room.

The Barn

Renovated barn with elegant features.

The 2,500 square foot barn has a large reception space with a built in bar and large picture windows. Attached to the barn is a small pre-function space, perfect for an indoor cocktail hour, rehearsal dinner, or overflow guest seating. Right outside the barn doors is an outdoor terrace with incredible mountain views and an exterior bar window attached to the interior bar.

The Grounds

Beautiful fields with mountain views.

The fields outside the Manor and Barn all offer amazing mountain views, where we can set up our garden chairs for a wedding ceremony. It is also great space for cocktail hour, lawn games, fire pit and more!

    From the first time we met with Kristen, we were impressed by her transparent and honest communication style. Kristen was extremely professional, empathetic, and timely in all aspects of the planning processing including addressing any issues that came up. Kristen's experience and warm personality made us feel comfortable amidst the whirlwind of wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better or more attentive planner, we felt like her only couple. During our wedding we had the pleasure of meeting and working with her husband, who was equally kind and supportive with a shared passion and commitment to making couples dreams come to life.     While my husband and I didn't get married at Milliken Manor, we had the pleasure of working with Kristen and Blackwater Events for our wedding in November 2025. It was an absolute joy to work with her from Day 1. She took every wish on our wishlist and made it a reality. She coordinated a "bouquet-making station" for me and my bridesmaids and created a timeline that maximized dancing for the guests. She pulled off a Chipotle dinner buffet that my husband thought was only a pipe dream (and even made it "upscale" enough to please my mother). Last but certainly not least, she somehow got my dad excited about the planning process and navigated family dynamics like a saint. If I had it to do all over again, it would certainly be with Kristen - and this time at Milliken Manor!

    Working with Kristen was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we reached out, it was clear she was excited to work with us. Kristen kept us in the loop and as involved as we wanted to be in the planning process. Kristen is an excellent planner and was always flexible and creative when it came to any hiccups in the road. Kristen truly went above and beyond, helping us bring our vision to life from start to finish. No detail was missed, and the end result was a the complete package that exceeded our expectations. Kristen's upbeat personality made the entire process easy and enjoyable, and although we didn't end up having our wedding at Milliken Manor, she turned our greenhouse wedding dreams into a stunning reality. The grounds of the estate are absolutely beautiful, and anyone would be lucky to celebrate their special day at the manor with Kristen by their side.
