About this venue

Lake Lawrence Community was once called “Edwards Pavilion” was established in 1923 by Louie Armstrong and Amber Reichel. All logs to build the lodge were felled from off the lake property itself and the fireplace was erected by Frank Noreen from Deschutes Falls. It took about one year to completed the building. This became an extension of Edwards Resort, a fishing a recreational getaway, here on Lake Lawrence. Afterwards many dances were held in the building. In 1973 the over 50-year-old resort closed, and the camping era came to an end. The resort property is now enjoyed by many private property homeowners. The playground, swimming area, and Edwards Pavilion became part of the Lake Lawrence Community Club, which still maintains these facilities for the benefit of their members. The lodge is also available to the community at large for all types of events to include weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions, and any other event.

Lake Lawrence Community Club in Yelm Washington is a lovely venue to host your special day. This welcoming club is located on the water's edge of Lake Lawrence. The calm water provides wonderful views for your guests and can serve as a tranquil wedding ceremony site. Imagine wedding outside on the lawn of the Community Club. This sweet site can quickly become romantic with the addition of a rustic terrace to frame you and your love as you exchange vows. After your ceremony head inside to Lake Lawrence Community Club's Lodge. The open layout and warm lodge interior is inviting and complementary to a variety of decor ideas. The Lodge features a wooden interior with a wall of windows that overlook the lake. A porch is also available for star gazing and conversation. The lodge comes to life with the addition of lights, candles, and floral centerpieces. A fireplace in the lodge ensures a sweet indoor environment during any season. Celebrate in simple style at Lake Lawrence.

Included with the rental of the Lodge is 38 eight foot banquet sized (rectangle) tables, 4 sixty inch round tables, 310 metal folding chairs, all paper products such as paper towels, bathroom paper, tissue and garbage can liners. There are 2 separate dressing areas for the bridal party and the the groom to use. Also included is a full kitchen with professional range, microwave and 100 cup coffee maker, 3 refrigerators and a beverage cooler. We do not supply linens, dishes, or utensils. No rental or personal furniture is allowed in the lodge. The parking lot will hold 300 cars. Supervised parking of vehicles is required and included in the price of the contract. Motorohomes and RVs are welcome to stay overnight.
