Perfectly situated to behold spectacular views, the Angel Oak Canopy epitomizes Southern beauty for a stunning wedding ceremony or outdoor reception surrounded by majestic live oaks. The space is beautifully landscaped, equipped with power and dramatic uplighting. The Angel Oak Canopy accommodates 200 guests for a dinner or cocktail party or 300 for a wedding ceremony.

With its two-story vaulted ceiling and gracious 3,200 sq. ft., Gracie Ballroom beautifully accommodates up to 220 guests for dinner and entertainment. Including tables & chairs as well as an artfully designed lounge, Gracie Ballroom is the heart of Hewitt Oaks. Special features include sound-control drapery, band/DJ specific power, ambient lighting and all-season temperature control.

Rider’s Courtyard gives a nod to the equestrian history of the property, offering your guests the pleasure of enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings. This 1,800 sq. ft. space includes cafe lighting overhead, floral planters, and endless scenic views. It’s perfect for Cocktail Hour with up to 200 guests or enjoy a seated & plated dinner under the stars for up to 100 guests

    I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Hewitt Oaks. My husband and I are easygoing and typically don’t require much to feel satisfied, which is why we decided to stretch our budget and book with Hewitt Oaks. We hoped that by choosing a venue that handled everything—cake, catering, flowers—we could avoid juggling multiple vendors. Unfortunately, the experience was far from acceptable. Issue #1: Wedding Planner Our assigned wedding planner left the company, and we were left without contact for over a month. We finally reached someone a month before the wedding (the same day our guest count was due). They claimed the planner had a family emergency, which later turned out to be a lie. I found out she had taken a new job elsewhere. We received no communication from the owner or anyone else about this before I had to call them. Issue #2: Wedding Day Problems There were several issues on the day of, many of which were outlined in our contract but not provided: No Vodka: My dad asked for a vodka tonic at cocktail hour and was told they didn’t have any. This is unbelievable, especially since we were promised it in our contract. They eventually found some, but no one should be told "no" for such a basic drink. No Lemons or Limes: The bar didn’t have lemons or limes, even though it was specified in the contract. Memorial Table: Our ancestors' photos were displayed on a wine-stained tablecloth under a promotional ad for their new hotel. This was incredibly disrespectful and insensitive. The Cake: We were promised a beautiful wedding cake, but what we received was uneven and lumpy. I’ve included a photo of the cake here. Go ahead and compare it to the cakes advertised on their website. Does this look like a wedding cake an "Iron Chef" winner would be proud to serve? To make matters worse, the cake stand we requested was left sitting in the ladies' bathroom, just feet from the cake. These are just a few design-related disappointments. I won’t even go into the other issues we faced. Issue #3: Inconvenient Clean-Up At 8 p.m., our planner asked my bridesmaids to leave the party and clean out the entire cottage for the next day. This felt completely inappropriate, especially since the event was scheduled to end at 10:30p.m. They could have easily done the clean-up at the end of the night. Issue #4: Broken Neon Sign We ordered a neon sign as part of our package. However, during tear-down, boxes were piled on top of it, causing it to break. It now only lights up halfway. After the wedding, we contacted Bethany, the owner, and requested a repair. She responded saying she would take care of it the next day, but two weeks went by without any follow-up. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, we were completely ignored. In Conclusion I’m not going to completely discourage people from booking with Hewitt Oaks, but I do want to caution future couples. We overlooked some negative reviews during our research, hoping our experience would be different. If you do choose to book with them, I would recommend having a budget closer to 100k. It’s clear they prioritize higher-budget events, and we felt like our wedding wasn’t given the attention it deserved. The most disappointing part of our experience was their lack of customer service and failure to address our concerns. All we asked for was a fix for the broken sign and they couldn’t even do that. Their handling of our concerns left us feeling completely disregarded and disappointed.

    Everything was absolutely flawless! My daughter recently got married at Hewitt Oaks and it was beyond our expectations : the venue, design details, florals, food and service were outstanding. The staff were incredible to work with and very detail oriented, the food was delicious, and the florals were gorgeous. It was truly worth every penny!!
