Be the first to check out Drift, Santa Barbara’s newest boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown on State Street. Drift is a 45-room boutique hotel with options for travelers of every kind, from the two-person Bunk all the way to the expansive rooftop Drift Penthouse. In addition to rooms, Drift’s on-site coffee shop, Dawn, is inspired by SoCal’s vintage surf culture, and offers a full menu of coffee, breakfast, and lunch. Drift’s on-site bar, Dusk, draws on our rich Mexican heritage, and serves beer, handcrafted cocktails, and a raw bar. Drift’s State Street location sits on an expansive car-free promenade filled with restaurants, entertainment, and shops. It’s also a breezy, 10-minute stroll from the Santa Barbara pier and beautiful California beaches.

We do full hotel buyouts for weddings and can accommodate parties of up to 50 for rehearsal dinners or other private gatherings. Drift is inspired by our love for the places we go, the people we meet, and the stories we collect along the way. Set between beautiful beaches with the majestic backdrop of the Santa Ynez range, Drift is located in the heart of Santa Barbara on State Street, an energetic, car-free promenade perfect for evening strolls and outdoor dining. The California light warms our coffee shop, Dawn, in a soft morning glow, and sets the stage for the vibrant nightlife at Dusk, our Baja-inspired mezcal, and raw bar.
