The Big Tin Cotton Gin is a historic wedding venue situated in Queen Creek, Arizona. Dating back to the 1950's, this former cotton gin is now one of Pinal County’s most distinctive wedding venues. Characterized by its classic-meets-contemporary vibe, the property is replete with vintage decor that pays homage to its manufacturing past. Mother and Son owners Julie and Kevin Ballentyne have been inviting soon-to-be newlyweds to make it official at this one-of-a-kind facility since 2019. The Big Tin Cotton Gin is the oldest renovated cotton gin in AZ! It was fully renovated in 2019, and still maintains all of its original tin from the 1950's. This indoor space features large hanging antique chandeliers, 2 indoor restrooms, a built-in bar area, and a warming kitchen for all of your catering needs. There is also a spacious upstairs bridal suite along with a downstairs groomsmen staging room.

Outdoor Space

Enclosed/Gated outdoor space (10,000 sq ft) complete with a bistro-lit courtyard with brick pavers, turf, and gravel.

The outdoor area allows for ample space for both a beautiful ceremony either facing the historic building or looking out at the beautiful AZ horizon, as well as a continuation of the wedding reception. The pavered area on the patio provides a perfect location for a cocktail hour, while the grass and gravel areas are great for lawn games, mingling, and energetic little ones. The bistro lighting allows for use well into the night, and is a great backdrop for pictures and for a sparkler send-off!

    The team at Big Tin Cotton Gin was a pleasure to work with. Their communication was quick and responsive, making the planning process seamless. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, with a spacious and open layout that provided the perfect setting for our wedding. The value was fantastic, as we were able to host our entire event at this stunning location they made sure everything went smoothly. We would highly recommend Big Tin Cotton Gin to any couple looking for a wonderful wedding experience.

    I loved the professionalism of both of my coordinators Julie and Kristen. I had a couple problem family members and they were not afraid to make sure my wedding went the way I wants. They are super easy to work with and very responsive. They both made my night so memorable and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to make my day perfect!
