Beautiful Formal Gardens, pristine Natural Areas, a two-story hay barn, and a historic Mansion make Allerton the perfect place for your dream wedding. The historic Allerton Mansion features exquisite wood floors, marble fireplaces, elegant furnishings, and breathtaking views of the surrounding Meadow, reflecting pond, and woodlands. Each of our Formal Gardens creates a unique, magical space for a wedding ceremony. The Gardens feature extensive plantings and over 100 ornaments and sculptures. Set amid the beauty of an idyllic nine-acre farmstead, this converted two-story Dutch hay barn, with its exposed timbers and 30-foot ceiling, offers a rustic and charming atmosphere unlike others found in Central Illinois. Greatest Wedding Ever
The Allerton team was incredibly communicative and responsive. They were always quick to answer our questions and provide helpful information. The park itself is absolutely stunning - the most beautiful natural setting we could have hoped for. On the day of our wedding, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, even providing an attendant to halt foot traffic in the specific garden where we had our ceremony. We were well aware we were in a public space, so this was extra, but appreciated. We are so grateful to the Allerton Park team for helping to make our wedding day truly magical.
Wedding at Fu Dog Garden
My daughter's wedding was held at the Fu Dog Garden in October, and the day was perfect. No decorations needed, as the garden is already beautiful, and the Allerton crew took care of setting up, and taking down chairs. Krissie took care of all of the details, and offered us multiple options for chair set up, bride entrance, etc. She even drove the golf cart shuttling guests back and forth (a very helpful task). I very much appreciated her patience in answering all of our questions. Highly recommend Allerton for a special event.
Brick Wall Ceremony
Allerton Park & Retreat Center was an incredible choice for our wedding venue. From the moment we first reached out, the staff was attentive, responsive, and direct in their communication, making the planning process seamless. The venue itself was simply stunning - the private, spacious grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. The team also helped us with creative ideas and suggestions that really elevated our event. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and personalized setting to celebrate our marriage. Allerton Park is truly a one-of-a-kind venue that we highly recommend to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding experience.
Wedding at Allerton
It was great! But the people that live next to the barn was very rude and let their dogs run in the barn during rehearsal and had them out on wedding day. When I communicated it with the person in charge they ignored my concerns and did nothing
