We at Helping Hand Parties & Weddings know how stressful planning a wedding can be! That’s where we come in. We have an overwhelming passion to help brides and their families navigate these wedding waters. We love the excitement of coordinating a bride’s very special day. We love planning beautiful, classic, and timeless weddings that are both uniquely you and fun for all while pulling all your vendors into a team dedicated to making your wedding a non-stressful smashing success.

Description

We love creating a wedding day that is an event you will love and always treasure the memories from. We are there with you every step of the way starting with helping to create a theme and vision for the day, choosing and meeting with vendors, and keeping everything on track throughout the planning process.

This plan is different for everyone. We offer our partial and full plans wherever you choose to have your wedding so the services listed would depend on the plan chosen. Travel and accommodations would need to be covered for this plan.

For the couple who could use some help getting started, a little help and advice along the way and extensive help the last month through the wedding day. This package also includes a second coordinator to help on the day of.

We have a package for just running the wedding and rehearsal. We also offer packages for the following when extra help is needed: teardown helpers, setup teams, serving staff, rental coordination packages, dress preservation and cleaning, rehearsal dinner help, etc.

    Erica did a fabulous job as our month of coordinator. She helped us with making decisions on all the little details, gave great insight into timelines for the wedding, and was very responsive to questions. The wedding day went perfectly, and I didn't even know there were hiccups until my mother told me the day after. She handled everything, and my mother and I were able to just relax and enjoy the day. Highly recommend!

    I would work with Erica Thimsen and Helping Hands Parties & Weddings again in a heartbeat! Everyone in our families lives at opposite ends of the country -- my daughter and her fiance in NY, me in CA, bridesmaids and groomsmen scattered across two continents... the wedding to be held next to a lake out in the middle of Alabama. A challenge, to say the least! But our daughter's dreams of her glorious wedding day became a reality with Erica's attention to detail, her endless energy and insight, and her personal caring. While based in Huntsville, Erica's sources and resources extend far beyond the local environs. She provided us with topnotch options for rentals, vendors, traditions and more, accommodating our venue which was nearly an hour outside of HSV. Her recommendations truly shaped our entire weekend, leaving us all with beautiful and loving memories which we will forever treasure. The planning along the way was meticulous and reassuring. Erica's accurate timelines and scheduled reminders of what-needs-to-be-done-by-when gave us a welcome structure that took the guesswork out of staging an event of this size. And when unexpected surprises invariably arose, Erica tackled each problem with her calm and resourceful ability to "pivot". We thank our lucky stars to have found "the best in the biz", when we engaged this lovely person as our wedding planner. All I can say is: Erica is a godsend!

    Erica is the owner of helping hands, and she gives 110% to her couples. My son and his fiance were married May 25, 2024. She met with them weekly at first and then as needed. She would give them tips, listen to what they wanted at the wedding and rehearsal and brought it to fruition. She guided this process from 1,400 miles away! She help them stay on budget and meet their minimum requirements for the venue. The day of the we rehearsal dinner and the day of the wedding she was there making sure the bride and bridesmaids were on schedule without being overbearing. Lie having a second mom ready to help. She kept the groom and the grooms men on schedule too. We had a couple issues with signage, our fault, and she was quick to come up with a solution so none was the wiser there was an error. I have one more son and I will use Erica and Helping Hands again. I only wished I had used her before.

    We went to Erica with a vague idea of our dream wedding: something that combined our love of live music with an elegant, classy atmosphere. We had no clue where to start, but from our first meeting, Erica completely understood our vision. She asked insightful questions and offered brilliant ideas, helping us shape those rough concepts into the best wedding we could have imagined. Thanks to her, our wedding was unique and unforgettable. We had dueling pianos, exceptional vendors, and countless personalized touches that we never would have thought of on our own. The number of guests who came up to us afterward to say it was the best wedding they’d ever attended speaks volumes about her expertise and attention to detail. Erica handled so many of the details that we would have overlooked entirely, guiding us through each decision and even reviewing every contract we signed to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. We felt completely supported and confident at every step because we knew she had our backs. Choosing Erica as our planner was one of the best decisions we made (right after picking each other!). If you’re looking for someone who can turn your dreams into reality with total professionalism, creativity, and dedication, we highly recommend her. Thanks to Erica, we were able to fully enjoy our special day, knowing every last detail was in perfect hands.
