My career in weddings began back in college, when I sold bridal gowns at a Boston boutique. While I absolutely loved helping brides find the perfect dress, I knew I wanted to be more involved in the entire process. And thus, my life as a wedding planner began. I haven't looked back since. Deering Events a full-service Wedding Planning company with offices in Cape Cod, Boston, and North Carolina. Weddings are my passion, and I have so much fun doing this job.

Over the past 15 years, I have helped plan and execute over 300 weddings, from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina to the breathtaking seaside views of Southern California. Our team loves to craft events of all sizes from intimate elopements, to large scale tented affairs. Above all, we focus on planning and designing fun, creative, and unique weddings that are completely stress-free for you and your family.     We hired Jyl to help us plan our December 2024 wedding, using her partial planning services. We don't know how we could have done it without her! In the months leading up to the wedding, Jyl was instrumental in helping us find and vet vendors (which was a huge help given how many questionable vendors there are out there). She was particularly helpful in recommending to us a videographer who offered half-day packages which was perfect for our wedding needs! As the wedding got closer, she was great with keeping us on track and organized. It was easy to relax knowing she had all the information needed to make the day go well. She also helped us deal with last-minute issues with one vendor and was huge in setting up our decor and getting everything back in one piece after the wedding. Hiring Jyl helped us not only create a beautiful event, but made it so we could actually enjoy it without worrying. She is worth every penny!

    From our very first email and call, Jyl was absolutely fantastic. She is thoughtful, detail-oriented, kind, and a great listener. Open-minded and creative, she brought our vision to life perfectly. We DIY’d everything for our wedding and handed Jyl a binder of notes and photos — and she executed it all beyond our expectations! Walking into our wedding day, we were completely blown away and couldn’t have been happier. Jyl planned every detail down to the minute, ensuring everything ran smoothly. If there were any hiccups, we never knew about them. The day was flawless and unforgettable, and having Jyl take care of the details allowed us to relax and truly enjoy every moment. Every vendor was thrilled to hear we were working with Jyl. We couldn’t have made a better choice! Our only regret is not hiring her for full-service planning. Hiring Jyl was our BEST wedding investment.

    Jyl is the absolute best! From our first call, she made me feel heard, at ease and totally supported. She fielded every question I had throughout our year working together incredibly quickly and always with a smile. Working with Jyl was one of the best decisions I ever made! She worked tirelessly on our entire wedding weekend and it went off without a hitch (even in the rain).
