Good day of coordinator, oversold as a planner
Our experience with Ceremonies By Chrissy was a mixed bag. Chrissy's communication style was distracted and not very proactive, though she was very kind. Chrissy was assertive, except for many times when we asked for help. It should be noted that Chrissy's contract stated she was responsible for coordinating with other vendors (photographer, DJ, catering, venue) leading up to the wedding. We got married one week after Hurricane Milton on the water in Bradenton, Florida. We contacted Chrissy the day after the hurricane, and she told us that she would not reach out to our wedding vendors or venue until two days before our wedding, but we needed to make contact with our venue as soon as possible as there was a chance we would have to change locations due to storm damage. While we completely understand that people’s lives come first in the face of emergencies, we were extremely hurt and frustrated that a person who sold themself as a month-of wedding planner would not help us make contact with our vendors and venue while knowing that last minute changes might need to be made. It was up to us to contact all of our vendors and ensure the day would be able to go as planed. Chrissy kept to her word and did not make contact with any of our vendors until the night before our rehearsal dinner, and most of our other vendors were shocked by how delayed she was in making contact with them given the circumstances. One other odd experience was at our final venue walkthrough that was scheduled one month prior to these storms. I I asked her to lead our final walkthrough, but she told me this was "my event" and I should lead it myself. I felt completely overwhelmed and unsupported by a person who had sold herself as a wedding planner who would be there for us the entire process. Please note that we did pay for the month-of wedding coordinator service, but she told us that she would "be like a planner" for the months leading up to the event. She told us "think of me like a six months out wedding planner". For these reasons we firmly believe that Chrissy oversold herself as a wedding planner. HOWEVER, Chrissy was absolutely phenomenal with everyone on the day of the wedding. It was like night and day. I provided the schedule, locations of everything, inventory, and she did great with the binder I gave her. My parents were very impressed and I didn't feel like there was anything for me to manage. Thank you for that Chrissy! So, long story short, if you're looking for a day of coordinator, Chrissy is for you!! She is GREAT at the day of! Like I said at the beginning, it was a mixed bag, but Chrissy was always positive throughout the entire experience.

On the day of, we were able to simply enjoy ourselves knowing that Chrissy and her team had everything under control. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor put us and our guests at ease, allowing us to fully soak in every moment of our special day.
