A Bupp Event was built after a huge move to the south and a new baby in tow. After 7 months of an extended maternity leave from events and the DC market I found I really missed events! The creative designs, the logistical details, the 'friendor' relationships. I missed it all. I decided to dive back into events, most specifically weddings, giving me the opportunity to connect with all these beautiful couples and a whole new set of vendors.

While I live outside New Orleans, I grew up and spent most of my adult life in the NE from New Jersey down to DC. I started my career working as a catering manager at a DC hotel where I quickly learned a lot of back of house components that go into every event. From there I moved into the non-profit world working at Smithsonian's National Zoo planning fundraising events for over 3,000 guests. There I became proficient in event logistics and quick thinking. Especially when it comes to weather related situations.

    Ashley is great, and I highly recommend her. She can help plan the whole event or help with day of coordination. We had her help with day of coordination and she handled everything with flying colors. We met over the phone first, and leading up to the day, emailed a bunch of times with updates. She contacted all of my vendors before the wedding to confirm and bring up any concerns or questions. On the day of the wedding, she helped with an issue that arose even before arriving to the venue. She was organized and thoughtful. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a planner without any hesitation!

    Ashley at A Bupp Event was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding. She helped create the most magical and stress-free day, taking care of every single detail so that my husband and I could simply enjoy ourselves. Ashley was so organized and prepared for any possibility, seamlessly coordinating with all of our vendors and keeping everyone on schedule. She was also incredibly kind, patient, and understanding throughout the entire planning process.     Ashley is incredible at what she does and an all around lovely human being. When I started planning my wedding a year in advance, I thought I would not be in need of a day of coordinator, but having one was absolutely essential to our wedding day's success. She handled finalizing and coordinating details with our vendors leading up to the big day, she made sure everything ran on time on the wedding day, she ensured our decor looked exactly the way we specified, she honored all of our wishes but most importantly she kept me calm and focused when I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by time and decision making. She handles every situation with optimism, humor, and a down to earth nature that is extremely approachable and reassuring. I would recommend her to anyone the Greater New Orleans area, and I hope I get to work with her planning another event one day! :)

    Ashley was an amazing day of coordinator for my husband and I's small-ish (45 pp) wedding that still had a silly number of little details to tend to. From our planning call to the days leading up to the wedding to the day of, Ashley was on top all of the things (including the small details we would have forgotten that would have blown up in our faces day of!) in a way that was just right - nudging us to get things done and also giving us feedback and ideas about what might work/etc. since we are not wedding professionals. ;) She had the East Coast Energy that I craved combined with the NOLA local experience that we needed in planning a wedding in New Orleans while being from and living in NYC. I highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding who wants a super organized, warm, and easy to communicate with planner/coordinator!
