Tyler Gets Weird

After getting out of the Marine Corps and photographing weddings for a larger "big box" company, I decided I wanted my own brand that really connects and cares about the couples I work with. Since then, I have been fortunate to document so many stories. I am a very "unprofessional professional". I love to have a good time and I embrace weirdness (will do your wedding for free if you're wearing all denim) but at the same time I also am very Type A; I love a good spreadsheet, I'm punctual, and I will always advocate and/or problem solve for my couples on wedding day.

The biggest thing that sets me apart from other photographers is that I am not documenting weddings for me and my portfolio. It's not about building a social media following or taking the photos that I "must have"; I am there for YOU. TGW is all about honest, authentic documenting. I'm there to work hard for my couples from prior to wedding day to post wedding day to ensure that you have your day as you envision. My style is very photojournalistic. If you feel awkward in front of the camera, no worries, I will help guide to make you feel more comfortable while also stepping back so that honest moments and emotions can happen organically.

We can’t speak highly enough about Tyler! The photos and wedding video he created are nothing short of incredible—every moment, big and small, was captured beautifully. We feel like we’re reliving the magic of our wedding day every time we look at them. Tyler has a gift for finding the candid moments that make the day uniquely personal, and we’ll treasure his work forever. But what makes Tyler truly stand out is his personality. From the start, he brought such a fun and light energy to everything, especially during our over-the-top engagement shoot! He made the whole experience easy and enjoyable, guiding us through it with a positive attitude and ensuring we felt comfortable no matter how big our ideas got. Beyond his incredible talent, Tyler provided so much support throughout the entire wedding process. After losing my dad just a few months before, I was unsure how to plan a day without him. Tyler went above and beyond, helping us find creative and meaningful ways to honor my dad. He was a guiding force not just for us, but in helping coordinate with other vendors as well. He wears many hats, and on the wedding day, he was truly irreplaceable. Along with our day-of planner, Tyler kept everything on track, made the day fun, and eased the emotional weight of such a charged day. We’ve never laughed more than we did with Tyler! Our family and friends still talk about how amazing he was. His hilarious and positive personality made everyone feel at ease and brought so much joy to the day. He became more than a photographer—he became a friend who helped shape one of the most important days of our lives. Tyler was absolutely amazing! He was so helpful with all of our questions and helping us with ideas, and even helped out with a good bit of our timeline planning and day of coordinating! We were so grateful for his expertise and fun energy. Our photos turned out amazing and we had a great experience throughout!

Tyler was an exceptional photographer in more ways that one! My main expectation was that I would have a photographer that takes great pictures. Not only did the photographs capture the magic and dreaminess of the day, but he made sure my husband and I were taken care of and that we had every detail finalized to make sure our dream wedding came to fruition. My absolute favorite part looking through all of our photos was the fact that Tyler got pictures of almost every single person at the wedding. The importance of their presence was immense and I am so thrilled Tyler captured the incredible energy each person brought (without even asking!!). Tyler was also incredibly communicative and able to guide me through timelines of the day in such a smooth way that helped me understand what wedding planning really entails. I am forever grateful for Tyler; his hard work and dedication to his craft show with every interaction and in every picture. I couldn't imagine a better experience with anyone else. Thank you, Tyler!

Well I think I’ve watched my wedding video about 50 times the day I received it. Tyler is blessed with a natural ability to capture the most beautiful and authentic version of you on your special day. If we had to share one thing about Tyler, it's that he goes above and beyond. His attitude was amazing all day, and he was so incredibly attentive to our needs. I’m an awkward person, but Tyler makes you feel like you’re just another one of his friends, which helped me to relax and for him to capture amazing portraits. Before the wedding day, I also felt like he was one of our only vendors that truly took the time to assess our vision. He spent plenty of time making sure I was confident we would have THE pictures ;). 2 words: HIRE HIM!
