Welcome to Rising Ashes Designs! RAD was founded by Christina and Matthew Christyson Over the last decade, we’ve built a team that feels like family. Together, we’ve captured over 600 weddings, blending professionalism with creativity and a whole lot of fun. Our mission is to make your wedding day stress-free, memorable, and uniquely yours. Whether we’re sharing a laugh, adjusting the tiniest details, or cheering you on during your first dance, we’re here to capture every special moment with care and authenticity. We love capturing weddings, maternity, newborn, child milestones, boudoir ect. We are PROUD LGBTQ+ allies!
We are much more than photographers! By the end of the process we will basically be family! We love a good candid moment and love catching a tear or two! You are not a cookie so don't put yourself into a cookie cutter when it comes to the biggest day of your life! We have led the industry in trends! Wonderful Photographers!
My husband and I booked RAD Photography for our wedding that was in November 2024 - and they did an absolutely wonderful job! They are the nicest individuals, are super dedicated to their work and ensuring the clients are happy, helped us so much despite us being out of state and in a different time zone, and did I mention the great job? Our wedding photos came back phenomenal! We had the owner and her husband as a duo for the entire wedding. They captured all the little and big details, did exactly what we wanted with the inspo we sent (candid, photo “line up” with everyone after vows, etc.) and were just so sweet and caring through the entire experience. It’s hard to capture in only 10 photos!! She also made me feel so beautiful the entire time, was easy to talk to before/during/after, and helped take care of me (making sure I had snacks and water, tied my dresses bow since none of us knew how to, calmed me down when I was about to have an anxiety attack, and so many other little things that added up). They are amazing! We plan to hopefully use them again for baby showers & major life events as much as possible in the future - even if we have to travel many miles for it. :)
Gorgeous photos!
I initially met Christina as a wedding officiant where I've done countless weddings with Rising Ashes. As I've gotten to know her, she's photographed my kid's and family photos a number of times, including doing the photos and video of one of my son's adoption days. They always capture their personalities, quirks and emotions so perfectly. Their editing style is flawless and I will consistently refer my couples I work with to them. Their pricing is very reasonable and I will always do a happy dance when I have an upcoming wedding with them!
