I never saw myself going into wedding photography as a career. When I was growing up, a wedding photographer was some nerdy guy wearing a soup-stained tuxedo and carrying a big clunky medium format camera. No, I had plans to be the next big thing in advertising photography. I felt like I was well on my way enjoying a very successful career shooting corporate and advertising work on a national level and had never really considered shooting weddings as an option. That all changed when a wedding coordinator friend of mine was in a bind and asked if I could help them out by shooting one of their weddings.

Much to my surprise, I quickly learned that It was everything I was looking for in photography, a bridal couple that hires you for your creativity, encourages you to work your magic behind the lens, and then celebrates with you as you review the results of an amazing celebration. Every weekend I am invited to one of the most emotionally charged days that a couple will ever experience in their lives and become their personal historian. It's a festive atmosphere with people that love having their photos taken! I can honestly say that I've found the perfect job for me and thankfully, it doesn't require a tuxedo!
