Hello! I’m Laura Ford, a Midwestern native who has fully adopted sunny Southern California as home. I’ve been living and working in Los Angeles & Santa Barbara since 2013, and have happily kissed winter boots and car ice scrapers goodbye forever!  As far as aesthetic goes, my photos are bright, cheerful and thoughtfully framed. Combining the perfect setting with the right color palate and a bit of art direction for my clients is my superpower. My approach for portraits can be described as editorial, and my goal is to artfully capture the essence of you!

    Laura was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, they were attentive, willing to get on the phone with us, and on top of any changes we needed to make. They explored our venue ahead of time to find the best photo spots, guided us through the entire process, and delivered our photos with a super quick turnaround. Laura and her team really took the time to get to know my husband and I, which made the whole experience feel so personal. They were also incredibly flexible and willing to work with all the dynamics of my family. Laura is simply wonderful, and we couldn't be happier with the beautiful photos that captured our special day.

    Simply put, working with Laura on our wedding day was the best decision we could have possibly made. She was friendly, timely, professional, speedy, expeditious; all of the things you would hope for on such an insanely hectic and important day. And as for the results... we couldn't be happier! Laura and her shooting partner captured the day beautifully from start to finish without ever overstating their presence, and as pleased as we are with the organized photos, we are equally impressed by the 'in-between' moments that they were able to capture.     Laura is a brilliant photographer, which is important, but she is also a lovely human, which is just as important as her artistry. You want a wedding photographer who you can be completely comfortable around on your wedding day. Someone who knows how to put you at ease, work with your family & friends, stay on schedule, and get the great shots. Laura excels at all of this and more. Top-notch person and talent!
