I'm admittedly wary when it comes to the Wedding Industry and all of it's bells/whistles/expectations, and at the same time, I believe wholeheartedly in the power of community, love, commitment, and collective joy. I think that weddings-- in all of their forms and reclamations-- ultimately serve a great purpose in reminding us of these gifts. I come from a long line of meticulous documenters and hold a degree in Sociology, all of which informs the way I approach photography. I am curious about people, am in awe of the display of emotion, and am passionate about the ways in which we construct family and community.

    My husband and I worked with Kenzie for our engagement session in the summer of 2021 and our wedding in the spring of 2022. As you can tell from the timeline both sessions were at the peak of the Pandemic. This season was filled with excitement but also stress as we balanced our family's health, our deepest desires for the wedding, and the weight of the global pandemic. Kenzie gave us the peace that we so desperately needed. All in all, she was our favorite wedding vendor. After our initial onboarding Zoom call, my husband and I turned to each other and screamed did we just make a new best friend?! She is not only professional but personal. She has a great artistic vision but also respected the direction we gave. Kenzie takes a photojournalistic approach to her work and because of that, we feel like these moments are enshrined in history! My favorite Kenzie touch was the pre-wedding survey she provided us that helped her understand what emotions we had going into "the most important day of our lives". She prompted us with questions about the relationship dynamics between our family and friends, and the quirky details of our love, and our answers allowed her to capture more than just a single snapshot in time. Kenzie's photos capture FEELINGS. Thank you thank you thank you and we cannot wait to work with you for our next life event!!

    Kenzie is an incredible photographer and story teller. I am so grateful we found here. We used her for our wedding and photos when our kid was 6 months old. Would 100% recommend her to others and would use her again. Her photos are thoughtful, stunning, and help me remember specific parts of our wedding now years later.

    My wife and I are so unbelievably grateful we found Kenzie to shoot our wedding. From the first moment we saw her photos, to the first moment we met her, we knew she was perfect for us. And we were correct. Wedding photography can be a very tired, overdone, overwrought and overcopied experience and Kenzie is none of those things. Kenzie sees people and human interaction and the overall human experience for what it is. She knows how to catch real moments. Nothing was forced, nothing was fake. She is a true artist. She was so wonderful to work with and talk to about what we were looking for and she gave us photos we will cherish forever. I'm getting teary-eyed thinking about how great our photos came out and how the overall process was with her, at a time when making decisions and picking the right vendors is a full-job, stressful job. She is a total pro and does not get in the way and isn't aggressive - in fact, she's one of the nicest people you could ask to work with. I think if it's not already obvious, we couldn't recommend her enough. She's a true true artist and I am, and will continue to be, a huge fan of her work, and find it so exciting to see what she does next. My wife and I will be forever grateful to her.

    Kenzie was able to effortlessly find the natural moments of our wedding that captured the joy and emotion of the day. She was able to make our photos feel more editorial instead of the cheesy stock photography wedding photos you see so much. Of course she can also do the posed family photos (which she was able to do in an organized yet relaxed way). She is a kind person you want at your wedding and has a great eye and energy that helps you remember the best things about the day.
