How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Couples book me about anywhere between 5 month, or a whole year before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame! It allows us to collaborate in creating photo and/or video shot lists, go over scheduling and answer any questions you may have to ensure you have an enjoyable and stress-free time at your wedding.

Question 2

Do you also offer video services?

Yes! I specialize is both photography and videography, and offer packages for either medium. If you choose to have me document your day with photo and video coverage, I usually bring 1-2 assistant shooters with me, and we have multiple conversations to discuss what the overall look and feeling you’d like the photos and video to have. What I love about doing both, is that both mediums compliment each other perfectly - all of the aesthetics align and the photos come to life when watching the film. Question 3

How long will it take to see our photos?

Accepted Answer

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8-10 weeks after your wedding, but I'll send multiple sneak previews throughout that period. Photos are delivered on a high-resolution online gallery where you can download, favorite or purchase prints and cards from. You can also purchase a USB drive as a backup (I recommend if you are getting video as well)

Do you have insurance?

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

Question 5

Do you work with assistants or other photographers?

Accepted Answer

If you decide to add a photography or videography assistant to your package, I work with a few different professionals in my area. I always recommend adding one to your package if you know you will have tight schedule, have multiple locations, or would simply like a second pair of eyes documenting your day.

Question 6

What’s your back-up plan if you aren't able to photograph or film our wedding?

Accepted Answer

I've luckily never had to cancelled a booking (knock on wood omg). In the very, very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll ensure that you are covered by a professional photographer or my contracted assistant. I can also provide you with a list of photographers from my vendor list, so you can find the perfect replacement. I will still edit the photos or videos and deliver everything as planned.

Question 7

Do you give out RAW files?

For photo - I do not give out RAW photos. For video: kind of! I end up using around 50-60% of all the footage I film in your final wedding film (depending on the length of it). While I don’t offer the unedited RAW files, I do offer all the additional footage that doesn’t make it into the video (fun dancing videos! detail videos! full first dances, etc!) If you’d like to see examples of it, let me know. Bonus to that - it’s included in the packages so there’s no extra cost for it. Heckin’ yes.

Do you travel?

I do! I love being able to visit new venues and cities with my couples. While I’m not planning any international trips this upcoming year, I do have a list of venues I’d like to film or photograph for the 2023 + 2024 that you can find here: jzygpicturestudios.com/location-discount
