My name is Joel Martinez, I'm a wedding and event photographer based in Sussex County New Jersey. Born in The Bronx, I grew up in Monroe, NY. I spent my early years traversing through the streets of NYC. I now live in New Jersey. I visit the city often. I studied Communication at the University at Buffalo - SUNY, where I discovered my love for photography. I am also a member of NYC Prime Shot. When I’m not taking pictures of people and events, I love to travel the world, play video games, watch movies and anime, play basketball, and take pictures of my dog Mikey!

My goal is to show the beauty, grace, strength, and enthusiasm of people. I focus on non-models and place regular people in situations that highlight an aspect of who they are. I strive for a sense of integrity and fortitude in my work. As your photographer, you will discover an individual who is willing to go that extra mile, spending the time necessary to give you the service that you deserve

    Joel was so wonderful to work with! He was very down to earth, easy to communicate with, and best of all, takes amazing photos! We hired Joel to take photography and videography of our wedding and we are both so so happy with the results. Joel met with us several times during the planning process in order to go through the rundown of the day with us, which helped relieved the stress of the process. The final pictures and video came back promptly afterwards, in such wonderful quality. Oh yeah, he also uses a drone with gives some of the most stunning views of the venue!

    Joel with Joel's Vivid Snaps was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding photography. His communication throughout the planning process was great - he responded quickly to emails and made sure we were all on the same page regarding shot locations and timing. The day-of, Joel arrived early and worked efficiently to capture countless incredible photos despite our short time frame. The quality of the final images is amazing - he has a real talent for capturing special moments and telling the story of the day. Joel himself was very professional and respectful.     Reached out to Joel after generic message from him. Based on his initial pricing listed on his page, Zola matched us. I sent an inquiry with some extra details and he rudely replied “your budget is way too low”. He did not even ask what I am looking for specifically to see if there is a potential to do business together. Unprofessional.

The initial inquiry indicated a budget of $200 for 8 hours of coverage, which is significantly below our starting rates. Our standard packages are carefully crafted to ensure we can provide the highest quality of service, which includes professional photography, editing, and timely delivery of images. We apologize if our response came across as abrupt. We are always open to discussing the specific needs of each client to see if we can find a package that works for both parties.     We found Joel in Thumbtack and we are so lucky that we stumbled upon his profile. Joel’s been a pleasure to work with! From our pre-nup photos leading up to our wedding day, he’s been patient, communicative and flexible with our needs. We appreciate that he listened to us and incorporated what we asked him. He went above and beyond our expectations. Customer service was remarkable! I appreciate the fact that he is flexible with his contract that caters to his client’s needs. Joel is also a talented photographer. He does portrait shots, drone shots and different events! He is a personable, professional and patient.
