Gunnar Cook - Photographer

Well, “used to be” in the sense that it was my profession for many years. After dreaming of being a photographer, and the hard work it took to realize that dream, I found that pursuing a passion as a profession came at a significant cost -- the passion. So I moved on. Though, never really putting my camera down in hopes of preserving that passion. While my path took me away from photography and towards some success in another industry, the years have found me missing the connections and the stories that I took part in as a photographer.

My path has turned once again to photography. And the experiences I’ve had on this journey back have given me an even deeper appreciation for, and understanding of, the privilege a photographer has in following passion as a profession. With that, comes a more clear vision of how to use photography to tell those stories I’m entrusted in telling by those with whom I work.
